Cruise Control not working

Featured Replies

When these go out what is the likely problem?

Switch on the steering column, or switch on the dash?

Or something else?

5 speed or Auto trany? Does the light come on on the CC button but it won't engage? If its a 5 speed and the light comes on, follow your clutch peddle all the way up. You'll see a little tab that is suposed to press in a button, but there is a hole in this mettle tab. There was suposed to be something on it covering this hole but it probably feel off. Get a penny and some duct tape and tape it on there and you'll be good to go. $.01 repair can't beat that. If its an Auto or the light doesn't come on, check all your fuses and relays and connections.

It's a '96 5 speed. The light comes on but doesn't engage.

Smpol19 - I'll try your method. The price is right at least.

Fuse..... no the light wouldn't show....

Switch on steering wheel could be loose?

Connections could be loose? Has thats been taken apart lately?

Cheers

could be the brake light switch or the clutch switch if it has one in this system. Go after all the simple stuff first
