hey guys, i have a problem. my car will just completely lose power at no particular time or gear. The car and electrical do not turn off, but the rpms go down immediately right in the middle of trying to speed up.

(i was merging into omcoming traffic yesterday from a stop and pulled out only to completely lose power with a huge truck barreling down on me, fortunately he was able to swerve out of the way, because he was a ways back when i pulled out.)

i recently bought a maf adapter and put a haf filter on, but i don't think that would cause this problem.

any ideas? i don't particularly want to die anytime soon.

Usually the first suspect is what one has just tampered with. I would give a second look to your intake mod. Maybe put things as they were before and see what happens.

Do you have a CEL?

Just my .02$

From what I have read, the MAF sensors don't really like anything new. People have drivability issues putting intake and such on their cars. I would take the filter out and see if it helps.

Any check engine light?
