subiemech85
where is it? what does it look like? the fsm makes no sense on the issue '89 rx loves to give me intermittent ECS light and 22 also has a bad habit of being grumpy when I try to lug it driving about 20 mph, floor it, usually in 3+ it goes "blah" and feel jerks 3 times then makes good boost about 2k rpm it's so annoying it disagrees with me when i try to drive it like a diesel, (keep the rpm low, and floor it after every gear change)
Ross
On the top of the block on the 1-3 side about 50mm from the split, just behind the intake manifold. Screws vertically into block, two wires coming out of yours.
Subarian
Here's a pic of it courtesy of partsamerica. If you still need a pic of it on the engine, I'll try to take one and post it tomorrow (Friday).
subiemech85
an actual pic of in-car location would be very helpful, especially with a red arrow pointing to it.
ShawnW
If you can take a picture of your engine bay I will add an arrow to it for you. Shoot the picture from the top of the engine and focus on the rear by the bellhousing, not on the starter side but the pass side.
TheSubaruJunkie
You can see it in this picture here: http://gallery.usmb.net/albums/album42/DSC00641.sized.jpg Its located in the block, behind your intake manifold. In this picture, its the little green thingy right above the hole in the block. Your block shouldnt have a hole like this, but you should have a knock sensor there. It maybe easier to get to if you remove the PCV hose from the block. You can follow the wire to the Knock sensor. The plug is tricky to remove, but once you do its easy to remove the knock sensor. -Brian
