Is there any check engine light on? Check out legacy777 website for retrieving trouble codes.

 

Could be the crank sensor, maybe the igniter.

 

If you have a Haynes repair manual, it gives a pretty good description on how to test everything.

Thanks much. There's no check engine light, but thanks for the tips. I have a Chilton's manual, so I'll check on the igniter too.

You're going to spend a fortune on parts unless you take a scientific approach.

 

Check for spark, inspect the timing belt, measure the fuel pressure.

 

I would also recommend you find a troubleshooting flowchart. Start at "engine turns but does not start". I think the Haynes manual has a few tips under that title.
