How long to do timing belts

Featured Replies

How much time on average, barring issues, will it take to replace timing belt, water pump, re-seal oil pump, etc.

I am pretty handy, have done this on older roos but not on a 2.2. Just want to know what kind of time to schedule for this job.

well.....

when i did mine(94 legacy) it took me and my mech approx 5hrs.only because we had to stop acouple a times and he had to go to the parts store for some o ring seals(or something like that)

i basically stood there and handed tools when needed :-p

I think I would plan it when you have the whole day.

I was planning a day but wanted to make sure I did not need 2 days.

I know what you mean, I heard it took around six hours to do a heater core and it took me a day and a half.

Barring issues, a day should be plenty of time for the job. Less than 4 hours if all goes well. That time is without rushing anything either.
