December 23, 200520 yr that is one big allen wrench.....i have already made one crankcase bolt tool.....it slips so went searching,only thiong i could find was a 5/8 allen.i am in the process of filing it down........crazy big
December 23, 200520 yr take a bolt with a head that fits in the hole, then tighten 2 nuts against each other on the threads of the bolt, use a wrench on the nuts. Thats my solution.
December 23, 200520 yr I assume you are talking about the 14mm allen used on the piston pin plugs and other case plugs? double nutting might not work on those. they usually take a lot of torque to remove. I went and got the right tool to pop mine out.
December 23, 200520 yr I went to the local shop and asked them if i could borrow the right tool for a day or 2, they didn't have a problem with it... because honestly, when do you ever use a 14mm allen tool!

Well... I already had one in my toolbox. I think it fits headbolts on something... probably my Datsun. So, I guess they are not that uncommon.
