4.11 Gears

Featured Replies

does anyone know if there were 4.11 gears offered? if so what model & were they strong?

Offered in the '90-'94 Manual, and '90-'91 auto, Legacy's, the non-turboed models of both.

They were not offered in the EA-82 5mt's if thats what your asking, but Tom is correct about the legacy's

looking to put them in my ea81 4 spd.manuel trans. will they fit? any help will be good.

Maybe the gears will fit the 5 speed trans acording to the link above, but I don't believe they would fit the 4 speed.

I bought 2 of the 4.11 rear diffs from the Legacy line to do my T-case mod using the Nissan T-case behind the 4 speed tranny. Thinking now after Wil's post, I'll be looking into LSD's for both. :}

edit;

Yeah, I know he was talking about the front tranny diff, the post just gave me the nod in the right dirrection is all........

end edit;

4.111 was perhaps the most common gearset here in the USA.

Most (if not 4.111, they are 4.444) EJ25x 5MT cars are 4.111 (Legacy, Outback, Impreza, Forester)...alot of the autos are 4.111...most others are 4.444....

Not many of the EJ cars are 3.700 or 3.900...WRXs are 3.700/3.545...US STi is 3.900...
