I have heard that the 02-03 WRX steering wheel will connect directly to the '97 Legacy w/o any modifications and I would really like to do this since it really won't be that expensive. I have the opportunity to buy an 04 WRX steering wheel for a respectable price. Will either of these really work? On the first gen legacy the cruis control set/resume stalk is on the steering wheel. It has the same cruise control switch, etc... I will post updates and pics after the initial install. I have to say that I am a bit nervous about the air bags.
