The drive plate fits any way, not just one position. Do I have to align something before bolting? I don't seem to think so. The only thing I can see aligning is some mark on the flex plate and torque converter.....however I still don't think it's a big deal. Hint, when you remove a clutch or torque converter mark the postion with a scribe if you are going to reinstall the same unit.You know the balance was good before right? SUBARU3 Posted January 11, 2006 Author Share Posted January 11, 2006 No, I just removed the flex plate to replace the plastic oil separator. The Flex plate goes on in any position, unlike a fly wheel that only bolts up one way. I can't see any marks on the case to align the flex plate. Any way, it's back in the car now.
