engine id

If its a brat its an EA-81, OHV, if its got 4 doors its an EA-82, OHC.

 

 

If its a coupe/hatchback it could be either, the hatchback is EA-81, and the coupe is EA-82.

 

If you post up the vin there's got to be someone here that could decode it for you.

as far as the 4wd drive goes there great you can engage and disengage at any speed. and you drive as fast as you want with it engaged. make sure you don't try to engage the 4wd when your front tires are slipping let the front tires match the speed of the rear tires before engaging. the timing belts are not hard but make sure you read all directions thoughly and follow them. pay close attention to how you are soppose to line up the first belt and then spin the crank 360 degress before putting the secound belt on<my eyes skipped that part my first time moter won't start very well>. all in all not to difficult
