Hey all, i got a 93 legacy and i see a bunch of brown tiny dots that look like this . and there are quite a bit. Anyone kno how to get rid of them, i tryed using a scrup brush and my nails. doesnt work. Maybe varsal? but its only on the right windows. but 0 on the left. or winshield.

Might be fly poo. I have seen that before.Sometimes if it has been on there for a while you cant get it off unless you go at it with a razor blade.A flat blade razor or something like that.

I guess its bird crap but it spread quite a bit, but if i use a razor would it scrath it, guess i gota be carful eh?

The blade won't damage the glass.Use the blade at about a 45degree angle or so and use it gently to scratch off those dots.

lol its gona take a LONG time i preffer getting new glass lol. One day ill do it, but thanks!

Go to an auto parts store and buy a razor blade on a fold up hanlde. They sell them for removing inspections stickers and glue. Spray some of that glass cleaner in a white and blue arosol can on it, go wild with the razor blade, and it should all come off. Should take less than 20mins and is a lot cheaper than replacing the windows. I mean, so you just replace the floors in your house instead of mopping them?

If the vehicle has ever had bodywork done, that may be primer overspray. In my experience, "Bon Ami Cleanser" on a dampened rag will usually remove things like that with a bit of effort. I've never had Bon Ami scratch glass, but you should probably try it in a small inconspicuous spot first, just to make sure. You might even have luck using just a non-abrasive dish-cleaning pad and some dishwashing liquid.

You dont have to be slow, or all that careful with the razor blade. A whole window will take like 5 minutes, if that long.

Or give it a wipe with a hot solvent like lacquer thinner or acetone or MEK. Try it on a small area first. These things are available at the Lowe's or Home Depot or whatever and just might trash your paint so watch out.

My thought would be tree sap or paint overspray from a new bridge painting project in the neighborhood, but that would normally be on the paint surfaces as well. If they are rock hard, a fast evaporating solvent won't work, a mix of blade to get the bulk and solvent to remove the smears left behind would be my best guess.
