Try holding the pedal to the foor while cranking it -- somehow this sets the computer to stop giving it fuel. I stalled and flooded my '89GL once (same engine as yours) and couldn't get it to start for half an hour of trying. As soon as I held the pedal all the way to the floor and cranked for about 5-10 seconds it sputtered to life.

no that didnt help, but now found no spark on #1 and #4 cyl, new wires didnt help , cap looks ok but gonna change tomorrow

Try pulling the coil/fuel pump fuse and crank it for a while...it'll clear the gas out.

As for cylinders 1 and 4? is it 1 and 4 like this
