February 22, 200620 yr Will the flywheel out of a 86 5-spd non-turbo d/r GL or 89 FWD 5-spd GL work for an 89 5-spd turbo AWD GL?
February 22, 200620 yr you'll need the 4WD flywheel - the clutch is very different for the 2WD car - they all interchange on the engines, but I think the 4WD flywheel should be identical so that it will mount to the tranny as well

February 23, 200620 yr im pretty sure the clutch on a 2WD is smaller than on a A/4WD. -=Suberdave=- N/A 2wd is smaller but a turbo 2wd is the same diameter as 4wd/awd but the dampening springs in the disk are different.
February 23, 200620 yr EA81's had different sized flywheels for 2 and 4 wheel drive. EA82 did not. Only difference will be the pressure plates.
February 23, 200620 yr on ea82 between front drive and 4wd flywheels, they bolt on the same but the inside where the disc goes the area is smaller, so a 4wd disc wont fit on the fwd flywheel ALL 4WD 5spds clutch/flywheel parts all fit the same, as well as driveshafts
March 12, 200620 yr Author I got the flywheel, clutch disk, pressure plate, clutch cable, pedal assembaly off of a 86 4WD D/R non-turbo carbed GL. I put it on my 89 AWD turbo GL-10. The problem I have is that I can press the pedal all the way down and the clutch wont disengage all of the way. I have the cable adjusted all the way back so the fork is tight. Any suggestions on what I can do.
