Suby engine into a Vitara

Featured Replies

G,day from Down Under

Just joined to ask this question, checking out this forum shows that there are some bright sparks out there.

Has anybody out there fitted a suby engine into a Vitara, or have any links to one. Ive just picked up a 2 door with a blown engine and was considering a Suby engine.

Thanks

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Vitara? You have to realize that the same car will have different names in different countries, so, from the lack of responses, I would guess that noone knows what you are talking about.

Rule of thumb though, it is usually the easiest to replace what was already there. Anything can be done, depending on how badly you want it.

You need to measure it up, i know they had a suzuki V6 but the subve engine is much wider, and dont forget the exhausts and the clearance needed for them

i've worked on sidekicks and the like... and a vitara isn't much different i dont think...

the engine compartiments in those are SMALL... but since the engine isn't transverse i don't see why it couldn't be done... assuming the engine isn't to wide...

Zefy, you don't know where I can find a couple of doors for my 'vert Trackick do ya? I've had NO luck in the lower 48.

I want ratty two doors. they can be dented and stripped, I want to cut them down for summer 'Jeep' doors.

I'll put Subaru logos on them (there, now it can stay in this forum).

:D
