March 15, 200620 yr Thanks for shareing , on the bolts pulling through the lift , what was the cause? how you fix to get home?
March 15, 200620 yr Author i had no choice but to drive it home like that.. a whole 2 or so hrs.. just taking it easy..i think what caused it was a bit of that quicksand, but the main thing was i hit a pretty big rock pretty hard to try and get over it... my car made it, but didnt like it..When i got home,. i took it to a mate and he put her back in and welded it nicely..
March 16, 200620 yr Nice work Slim, they are great shots. Maybe we should post a map of the area so people can see where the end of the earth is!!!
March 16, 200620 yr Author haha yeah, the end of the earth sounds bout right to here is a piccy anyway, incase peepz arent too familiar with the world.Jack in Norfolk great pix! was that a sailboat on the roof? Not a sailboat, just a light weight dindgy thing...
March 16, 200620 yr Nice pictures, thanks for sharing them with us. Looks like it was a well rounded trip (as terrain goes) and lots of fun.
March 16, 200620 yr I always thought Tasmania was a bit wetter than those photos showed. Or is there a dry side to the island? Are your 'recommended speed" signs incredlbly conservative, like ours are here in B.C.? Around here, we take the recommended speed, divide by 10, and use that gear. ( Unless there is snow....) If it says slow to 50 km/h, back off the throttle, if it says slow to 40, put it in 4th, etc. So, that 40 km/h sign, were they serious, or is it just a signal to wake up and start turning the steering wheel?
March 16, 200620 yr i love those front bumpers in the pics. i want to get one of those for my outback. i think they are the best aftermarket bumper i have ever seen
