  3. Ok here is another small update. Still have a little to do. I fitted some flares a month or so ago. I used conveyor belt and some 2mm steel. I welded the steel to the body and then bolted the rubber to the steel. Still have to mount scoop and do some reinforcements of the castor lift. I also got a straight through exhaust fitted, but I'm not happy with the location so im going to get it re routed sometime soon. Note: I'm not going to keep the current breathing setup, going to go to a dual snorkel setup. Enjoy
  4. Hey mate. Wouldnt have been me you saw. I havent taken this car to dev as of yet. Not since ive rebuilt it anyways:)
  5. hehe. Merry Christmas buddy. well overdue for a meet up. Tyres are 31x10.5r15
  6. Hey guys. Small update. I have nearly finished! got some new rubber to bring the offset in a bit, now im running some MT Baja claws. IMO looks good. Car drives really well. Has alot more go than my gtb for some reason. Had a few issues due to my incompetence. took it for a drive without tightening the powersteering lines and trans cooler lines. VERY messy. POP. ill leave the rest to your imagination.. i have fixed that now and sall good. Rubber just rubs on front a 3/4 lock. Bit more grinder work and shell be apples. I'd like to say thanks to johhny for coming up and helping out. Couldnt have done it without you. Id also like to thank everyone else who has helped me out over the past couple of months. Here are some pics of it crawling around the street. Do enjoy Overall im very happy with how it has turned out.
  7. teehee thanks guys el toro i have a spare plate lying about somewhere, ill snap up some pics for you. if i cant find it, ill just take some more of the one there atm.
  8. Here is the final product. Looks pretty mean aye
  9. Ok guys. Small update, and a couple of pics. I will be uploading more tonight when i get all 4 wheels on. I just got my new prezzies in the mail, so i thought at lunch time id had a looky and put one one. Have a look, and a laugh, i certainly did. Floor seal just behind tyre sits at 27cm and the roof sits at 71cm, or bout 5"10. Pretty bloody big.
  10. Gunna be a tight fit Real tight Too tight. Out came the grinder.....again Teehee Some assembly done Mmm fun Ahh. all done. Very happy
  11. Well Well Well, I spose its that time again. Had a pretty good weekend overall. Couldn't of done it without the exceptional help of Will, Josh and John. Got a comfy amount done over the 2 days. Modded the radiator support to allow a EJ radiator fit, Made up a gearbox crossmember Swapped over engine crossmember Put in the engine Wired the engine in Fixed some fuel lines and last but not least. Drank and had a good time. Here are some pics, and i have a video too that I'll put up later on of it starting and running. Thanks again for all your hard work. Still have ALOT of work to do before i can drive it. Anyhow. Enjoy the pics. Will getting down and dity Getting everything ready for the grinder. Gearbox crossmember that john and myself whipped up. Will releasing some suppressed anger Lovely fit Johnny building up some anger __________________
  12. Damn, 30 inches.. That sounds sexy. Mine has 20" clearance with 27s under it.. Hoping to put 31s under in a month or so..
  13. Top hat. Newer rubber. Some free space. Clearance Hrmm. Quick shot from rear door. Doesn't justify how big it really is
  14. Ok fellas, Just finished the lift. Tis rather big put it all together to find out the gtb brakes i have are too large for my rims So i temporarily have put in the hubs with Lib brake setup. No real dramas tonight. Big of strut tower bashin and filing. nothing unexpected though. I snapped up a couple of pics, nothing too interesting as my shed is now full of **** and i cant move:P Also its about 0 degrees out there and becoming unpleasant. Anyhow, here are a couple of pics. Dont know how high she sits, dont have a tape, but i can tell u with the nankangs on, i can have a jack stands at full ext and still about 4cm from the body. Enjoy. The process of swapping hubs over. Turned out to be a waste of time! Some incentive to finish quickly. Need to get rid of this tab in order to place blocks on top. All gone.
  15. Its a ri-rise 6" lift. Not sure who to contact in the states. This one is from Australia.
  16. Pretty much. except ill be going the 4.44 auto box with a centre diff lock. Could not find a manual box that would do what i wanted.
  17. Just to show u how its setup and again finally a wheel on Some clearance woot No real reason for this shot your beaut. finally finsished it
  18. Ok Guys. Time for another update i spose. Haven t done too much. Just a bit of tinkering over the last day or two. I have managed to install the rear lift. Wasn't much of a hassle, bit of a effort fitting a diff by ya self and jacking a car up so high with no real support. Wsa a bit unstable a few times along the way, but managed to have a "setup" in case the car fell (again) would fall as far Safety first This is the first time i have fitted a lift kit before, so was enjoyable to do, and i have also learn't some ways to speed things up in the future. My plans this week was to have a setup so that the car is a little more stable than in its previous state, so i decided to install the rear setup and stick some tires on. Here are some pics of the lift and some stock lib tyres. 25"?? Anyway too much talking and not enough pics.. or other way around? anywho. Enjoy Start of the transformation Getting there Fall arrest setup. lol? Balancing act clean but dirty
  19. Sitting patiently waiting to sit in the L series Sexy turbo's Difference between the two cross members
  20. Hey guys, Just another quick update. Had some mates come down to my place this weekend with my lovely assets. Thanks to Will for towing it down to me, muchly appreciated mate Got a comfortable amount done this time, Got the 82T ot of the wagz, and cleaned a few things up. Here are some pics of this weekends progress. Have to get a second scallop in the 82T cross member, should be happening in the next couple of weeks. Not sure if the current scallop will be deep enough. Might have to investigate into it a bit more. Anyone be able to shed some light? Anyways. Here are a couple of new pics. Hope you enjoy. Starting the removal of the 82T Caught me in a moment Starting to get there After a few minutes the engine was out! Big sucker!! It wants to go in NOW
  21. Finished shell.. Looks a bit sad now:P
  22. Ok fellas. Time for another update.. Finally got the engine out of the frame and all of the accessories off the cut. Very happy with what we got done.. I'd like to thank Daniel, Mic, Will and Josh for their patience in helping me out. Muchly appreciated fellas. This was the first time i've pulled an engine out. Was quite fun. Next week ill do another update when the engine arrives at my house. Looks like i may have to go with the auto box after another re-think about it all. Nuff blabbering for now.. Here are a couple of pics.. Saturday morning.. Bright and early. Daniel first in. Everything out and plonked on ze trailer Another poser shot yup. Another Me quite happy with how the weekend went Josh taking out the lower radiator support Trailer with sides fixed to it and stuffed full of goodies. All packed nicely ready to come to its new home..
  23. hehehe. can never have too many pics;) From what ive heard, the first trbo on the TT setup kicks in at around 1500RPM, compared to the single turbo which comes in around 3500RPM. One would think TT offroad would have its advantages.. For a onroad setup id have to say a single turbo setup would be better. As for the box, i will try a AWD Lib manual box with dual range and l series low in a 4.11 ratio. If things dont hold up i spose i will have to go to the 4.44 VTD box. I hope i dont have to, but i can see it happening:P Cheers
  24. And to make it more of an eventful weekend. On the way to the shed. A horrible vibration suddenly came noticeable and i had to stop.. After a quick look i found this To make it worse, the weather was not going to play nice and didn't stop raining. Quick measure and a quicker trip to supercheap, got a bolt, nut and some lock tight and soon was off again
