OK, apologies in advance, but I'd like to hear concise opinions on this without searching thousands of threads, so here we go:

I have a '99 OBW that I picked up REALLY cheap (because it has 180,000). It's my third Sube, but my first with this motor. So I know who the former owner is, and I'm wondering what I should ask him (in terms of what work has been done)? I've heard various things like "oh, it's OK as long as this particular thing was addressed", etc. I realize that my HG may fail anyway, but what might have been done to deal with this in the past, just so I'll have as much info as possible?

Thanks -

 (Sorry - I know that laughing face doesn't belong here, but my 4 year old daughter REALLY wanted to put it in anyway...)

Timing belt, head gasket, fluids changed (all of them) tranny flush and brakes.
