Maybe, but,if it holds vacuum and moves it is good.

The car moves and drives, I was thinking it holds vaccum when stressed by giving the car more gas.

When cold the tranny seems to slip, it slowly creeps the car and then will just grab and go. Also untill warm the tranny is hard to shift unless I mess with the gas.

I don't think the tranny is bad though, because The fluid is not burning up, I changed it but on my last car when tranny went bad, and I cahnged the fluid it was burnt and black agin within a mile. The fluid in the subaru is nice and pink.

Your description is not indicitive of a bad modulator.

Sounds like another 3AT taking a crap. Not unheard of.

hmm, well thats what I did'nt want to hear but I kinda figured that anyway.

well I don't know what I want to do yet, I will ride it out as long as possible and just keep changeing the fluid and hopefully that helps to keep it going.

Then if I find a pats car with a five speed I might decide to do a swap.

This sounds like fun.

The only thing that may stop me is the frame in the rear is starting to rust, I would really want to fix this because I dont think I could find another turbo Gl-10 4WD sedan in where I live.

I don't really care if the frame is going to be repared I don't want to get rid of this car. I just hope its not to bad.
