my fusible link problem has grown into something sinister:mad:

now, many of the warning lights are on (abs, at oil temp, check engine) and the speedo and tach go dead when i step on the brake pedal and sometimes the car cuts out too. i'm wondering if there is an ecu and if so where isit?

ECU is located under the carpet by the front passenger foot area, lift the carpet and you'll see a metal plate, remove that and the ecu is under that plate...

Mine did some of what you describe before the battery took a dump.

not really. the chg system appears to be o.k. it just blows the link and now it's doing this other stuff! ugh! i don't have time to look at it right now.
