I have a 97 impreza L and I don't want to waste the time and money getting an impreza outback sport hood with the scoop and vents if it wasn't made to fit the my car, so hopefully someone else has tried this modification and can point me in the right direction. thanx.

Yup, interchangable and I would help offset the cost of the hood if your L hood is in good shape and want to get rid of it.:brow:
