I dont know what i am doing but what is the correct way to put 87 wagon into 4wd, do i roll or do i double clutch then change the gear, cause it still sticks trying to get it into normal mode ( taking it out of 4wd) sometimes go in sometimes slam it any ideas

had the same problems mate.

check your tyre sizes they should be different thats what causes 4wd to be stiff. after you do that it should go to 4wd in any gear, regardless of clutchwork. just make sure your steering wheel is straight (aligned) - so the car is driving forward! :cool:

Tire inflation, tire wear, and tire size. Check them all or just have 4 new tires installed - your trouble will magically dissapear :).

I have all the same size tires on my car but its stiff getting back into 2wd , i have to ease the pressure and go foward for a second or two then it seems to come in and out just fine
