I was told that if you drain and refill our manual trans with ATF 1 qt and the rest 2qt of 80w90 gear oil it will help stop grinding issues when shifting... what do ya all think????

i have never heard of combinig the two. ihave heard of running ATF in the tranny for about a block or so to kind of recondition things. did you read the post about the ATF flush ad whatnot¿

 

i'm getting ready to do an ATF flush for my manual tranny. maybe it will help my synchronizers.

i called redline, and the guy i talked to said to put automatic tranny fluid, the whole tranny.

 

but i didnt listen to him, and poured in some redline mtf gear oil, and it stopped grinding.
