June 10, 200619 yr Hey all, Just a quick question for the suspension gurus out there. Is there a way to adjust out the camber on the front of my '88 4wd Gl wagon. It's got pretty bad possitive camber from adjusting the front struts ('85-'86) up to almost the max. Thanks in advance for any advice, Toby
June 10, 200619 yr Yeah... adjust your struts back down. Other than that, there's no way unless you modify your upper strut mounts, or your lower control arm. -Brian
June 10, 200619 yr It's been ten years since I did any strut work on my Subies... Can't remember if the strut clamps into or bolts to the knuckle. If it bolts on with two bolts then you take a die grinder to the bottom holes and oblong them horizontally. If it clamps into the knuckle the only option i could think of is to pray to the Subaru Gods that someone makes a camber kit. If you've got good fab skills, you could adapt a cam bolt set up to the lower control arm. I'm sure one of the guru's here knows a simple fix.
June 12, 200619 yr most subarus are allowed up to 2 degrees of positive camber as its max. range for + camber. some models are a little more some a little less. but yes there are no adjustments on the loyale or older subarus
