  1. I'm interested in another EA82 wagon. But would be open to a hatch or brat of similar years. Just want another Soob to have fun with! I've missed the simplicity of it all. I've missed this kind of comraderie from the cool people on the board as well. Thanks for looking out Shawn!
  2. Hey Sucker King, were those the screaming yellow Jackmans off of my wagon before the lift? TJ
  3. I live in the Widefield/Fountain area in Southern Colorado Springs! Been away from Soob's for a bit. Have had 2 EA's in the past and am hoping to soon aquire another! Good to know there are a few in CO still.
  4. Hello again to all the Soob nuts out there!!! I had to take a long break from the hobby and missed it. I'm back on the board after 5 years and am on the hunt for another 80's wagon. Can't wait to aquire a new project and get back in the swing of things. Looks like a bit has changed, and I can't wait to dig in and see all the cool stuff you guys have been dreaming up over the last few years. I'm still in CO, so if there are any remaining members of the CO Subaru community please contact me. I'd love to catch up and/or meet new enthusiasts! It's good to be back! Toby
  5. Hey all, Just a quick question for the suspension gurus out there. Is there a way to adjust out the camber on the front of my '88 4wd Gl wagon. It's got pretty bad possitive camber from adjusting the front struts ('85-'86) up to almost the max. Thanks in advance for any advice, Toby
  6. Yea it's an SPFI induction system. I've been looking for a little more umph with this set up and thought your idea may help. Went and bought the MAF you have on your list of mods and don't know how you hooked it up to the existing wiring. Can you please help me out? Thanks again,
  7. Hey all, Has anyone been able to buy the adjustable type struts to replace their aging factory ones? All of the places near me have to order struts in for me and don't know wether they are adjustables or not. All of the places on the net give vague illustrations and/or descriptions of the products they sell. If anyone has successfully purchased new adjustables, please let me know where and approx. how much. Thanks,
  8. I found one at expressautoparts.com. Go here. http://www.expressautoparts.com/PartSearch/getpart.cfm?year=1988&make=SU&model=LOY-4WD-001&category=P&part=Water Temperature Sender
  9. Sorry Rory, I don't own one of them but I wish I did. Your yellow wagon was inspiration for mine. One sweet car! I have the same style Mitsi rims because I liked yours so well. Hope you find 'em! Peace,
  10. I just checked cip1.com and they have it if you want to see it. Go here. I'll give this url thing a shot. Go here. http://store.cip1.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=cali&Category_Code=23-01
  11. There is a special tool made for VW rear axle nuts that also fit our Sube's. It's a 1/2" thick flat peice of cast steel with a hole for a breaker bar and two flat spots on either side to hit with a hammer while applying pressure with the breaker bar. Check local VW/foreign (german) parts stores. Most will carry it by EMPI or possibly Dee Engineered Parts. Also available through Rocky Mountain Motorworks on-line or http://www.cip1.com I think. Used mine for all my axles when I did my 6 lug/ disc brake conversion. Good luck,
  12. Just a quick couple questions for you about the MAF you have listed in your mods. I picked up a MAF at the yard with the model # you had and want to install it. How did you do the wiring to go from a four prong (three lead) connector on the AA100 set up to the six prong (four-six lead) connector on the AA110? Also, what kind of gain can be expected from this swap? Fairly noticable? Thanks in advance for your help,
  13. The struts seemed to be in good working order, all of the fasteners are tight and the offset is from a PK davis BYB strut top lift mount. The camber does seem to be much more pronounced with the adjusters all the way out. That is the only visable difference to the car since the switch. I wonder if the contact patch of the tire is that much worse in turns with the increased camber. I'll keep tinkering. Thanks,
  14. Hey all, Just got back from a test drive after putting on adjustable front struts. What a bummer! The car acts like it's on sand or ice on turns. One wheel or the other seems to not be getting traction and causes a jerking motion under med. to hard power during the turn. Anyone experience this problem? The struts are questionable junk yard units. Could this be the cause of the "stuttering" around corners? Thanks for any help you can give,
  15. Glenn, I may be heading out to San Diego sometime in the spring to visit my parents. I might alter my return route to see the beast you've created. I definetly would like to see it in person. BTW, I just saw the new pics on the board. You weren't kidding when you said SWEET!!! Take care and I look forward to seeing progress and/or wheeling pics and info,
  16. Thanks again Emily! You guys at CCR are the best! Both for your motors and your info. Take care,
  17. Corky, Thanks man. That cleared up pretty much what I was looking for with my first set of questions. Do you know if anyone has documented this swap in some detail?
  18. Welcome to the board! Lots of good stuff and good people here.
  19. I saw there was a newer pic of the Bandit as your avatar on your posts. It's looking great! I was wondering if you had a photo albumn on the net somewhere (ie. the old MSN pic gallery or the new one for this board)? I really want to see the new stuff you're doing. I'm probably going to order my plans after the first of the year and start building when my taxes come back. Keep it up,
  20. Hey all, I know I've seen this swap done before, here on the board. My question is to those who have done the swap. First, what year was the car the transplant was put into? Second, does it bolt up to EA81 or EA82 transaxles? And lastly, are there significant space issues around the motor (namely in the front near the radiator)? Thanks for any light you can shed,
  21. Emily, First off, thanks for your response to my post about the EJ22t. I had another couple questions. The 190hp I'm assuming was for the turbo charged 2.2. Is that the motor that's in your Touring Wagon? And if so what years were they made? Thanks again,
  22. That's cool guys/gals! Thanks for the info. Did the EJ22t come as an engine for cars stateside, and if so which ones? Thanks again,
