When did they drop the ea81 hatch?

Featured Replies

Did they sell them until '89 along side the newer style "3-door coupe"?

I'm shopping for a nice ea81 wagon, but a hatch will do, especially if I can get a newer one (like Qman's '86 :brow: )

Also, can anyone point me to US sales numbers by drivetrain and body style? Is it archived somewhere?

Are the later hatchbacks rare? I'm not seeing many during my daily online searches.

im pretty sure the last year was 89. i thik they were burning off inventory , and i seem to remember they didnt manufacture after 87?

i have two 87s and i have never seen a newer one for sale.

after 84 they should be available with all the goodies.

I think rare is a function of where you live. I'm not sure any ones are more rare than another. I like the 1982's because they had the Cyclops light.:slobber:

The Hatches lasted till 89.

Look in the Brochures section of this board and you'll see the progression of the body styles and years.

I'd also like to know sales numbers just to know which years sold the most.

For what it's worth,

Glenn,

82 Hatch, ....well it used to be.....:temper:

01 Forester, .....still is........:burnout:

Thanks. I checked out the brochures and saw the one for the '89.
