I changed the oil on my Loyale today and noticed that the right front cv joint boot is leaking grease.The boot has completely seperated from the inner clamp.

 

How difficult is it to repair this? I can get the whole axle assembly for about $100 from an online store, but my Hanes manual says that in order to remove or install the steering knuckle requires special tools.

 

Has anyone ever done this before or should I just take it to a shop and have the work done?

No special tools required. Do a search for "axle removal" - you'll turn up a number of real good threads.
