Oxygen sensors

Featured Replies

I just got some more bad news about this #$@^ Outback. Two weeks ago the CEL came on and the code said Knock sensor.Replaced that and now CEL came back on and it's a code P0420.So it's either a catalytic converter or maybe an oxygen sensor. Here in Canada a cat is $1000.oo or the oxygen sensor is close to $200.I read in another thread that someone said to try the sensor is only $70 USD.Where are you buying for that and what is the aprt number.

1stsubaruparts.com has them listed for about $95US for the 00-03 Outback. I would guess the $70US ones are Bosch.

O2 sensor is most most likely the cause of the low cat error

90% of the time its the o2 Sensors, its been a while since anyone has had to replace a cat here

Can you supply me with a part number from a U.S parts supplier.Carquest,NAPA ect.It is a 2000 Outback 2.5 Automatic.

Just goto a parts store.. and tell them what car you have, and the part... you can get a universal kit for like.. 60 bucks?

i think the one before the converter has to be a sooby part, the one after it can be generic
