If you follow the power sources on the cruise diagram it definitely indicates fuses number 12 & 8 are in the circuit.

It sounds like you've done some of the main diagnostic work. The cruise computer is to right of the glove box. Remove the glove box, and you'll see a metal bracket to the right, remove that, and you should be able to get at the cruise computer.

 

I'm not really sure what to tell you. You may want to try connecting the cruise diagnostic connectors, and seeing how the cruise light blinks, and if any codes are present.

Hate to be a pain but looks can be deceiving. Did you mean to say that you pulled the fuses and checked for continuity? If you didn't, do so now. Common things occur commonly.

i looked at all the fuses and they all are good.

Have you checked the voltage at pin 15 of the cruise module yet, with the system on?

look at this wiring. it shows a 15 on the module and it says yb. it shows it going to the brake switch. is this the wire that should have 12v. could i just test it on the brake switch.

Let me take a look at the manuals again, and I'll let ya know what I find out.

i found the test probe wire. it was taped to 2 plugs. a 4 pin flat plug with 2 wires in it on 2 and 3 it is black. a yellow plug with about 7 wires 3 on top 4 on bottom.

look at this wiring. it shows a 15 on the module and it says yb. it shows it going to the brake switch. is this the wire that should have 12v. could i just test it on the brake switch.

You can check them both (pin 15 and 20) there if you want and is most likely easier to do it there. The only trouble is it doesn't check the wiring between the two points in case there is a problem there.

Yes, it needs to be on. Notice the relays in the circuit.

If I am understanding the operation correctly I think there should be some voltage on pin 15 of the module. With the cruise control ON, check the voltage on pin 4 of the module and see if there is 12 volts there. Try running a jumper between pin 4 an pin 15 and see if the cruise works then. If it does, then check the inhibitor relay.

i just looked at it and it looks like i have to take the dash apart to get to the screws. i can't get to the plugs. the inhibiter relay, thats one of the relays screwed to the module right. is their a way to check it at the relay plug. i checked the 2 relays before and they worked.

 

did anyone find out how to read the trouble codes yet. like i said, i found the plug and the test probe wire and pluged it in and turned the key on and nothing happened. what light flashes the codes.

You can check for voltage on the wire at any point you wish. You can pierce the insulation also though it is not recommened. But sometimes it is necessary to get a reading. For the test to be valid you need to leave all components in the ciricuit and with the circuit live.

Did you guys check to see that the switch isn't broke? Just because it flips the module on doesn't mean that it's staying on.

do you mean the main on/off switch? the light stays on until i turn it back off.
