June 24, 200619 yr I swapped vented rotors onto my '80 wagon back in Dec. Now I'm thinking of reswapping solid rotors back on and putting the vented rotors on my solid rotor '83 Brat, which will be street only. Does anyone have probs with mud gunking the vented rotors up? After playing around, I notice more wheel vibes than with solid rotors.

Maybe there is a some vibration that the heavier rotor was masking ? nipper
June 25, 200619 yr Author Nah, the usual mud on the back of my rims. Just wondering if anyone had rotor gunking issues.
June 25, 200619 yr Never gave me a problem on my truck, and I did have the front axle under thin clay-filled mud a couple times. The vents are tapered out towards the outside, and open in and out, so anything that gets in will get slung out. Aren't the vented rotors heavier than the solid rotors?
