speedo/speed sensor part number 95 legacy...

hey guys, i think my speedo is going on me, do you have a part number?? i looked all around and could not find a part number. thats for a 95 legacy AWD with ABS, Automatic.

ok well, if yoour speedo is jumping, it is time to change the sensor, the price may vary from $67 online to $99 at a dealer. the part number is 85082AC002 thats for 95 to 98 legacy AWD. :brow:

i'm not sure it may be sorry it took me so long to reply i usually dont check threads that are closed

 

do a search on 1st subaru parts with that part number and see it it is the same for the forester

There are more causes of jumping, one of them is to much liquid oil on the cable and ends in the speedo and in the gearbox. In the speedo this means there is a build-up of oil which makes it harder to rotate the thing in the cluster.

And other thing maybe the pin in the gearbox worn out, can not imagine they are that expensive.

95 and after legacy's used an electronic speed sensor. no speedo cable
