nadda any ideas? i know it is right in front of me i just dont see it. :-\ thank you

Check the local car stereo places for motoral antenna extension cables. I had one for my XT for $13 at a local Sound Track. Best Buy, WalMart, Circuit City, etc, usually don't have that type of thing.

When I Did My After Market Radio Install I Grabbed A Long Piece Of The Antenna Cable From A Car In The JY (73 VW Bug Of All Cars) And Cut The End Off The One In The Subaru And Spliced Them Together ANd Boom Extra 2 Feet Of Antena Cable . ( I Did It This Way Because 1) Im Cheap 2) They Just Gave Me The Cable 3) I Find It Easyer Because You Dont Have To Track An Extention Down  )

thank you fellas i am on my way to radio shack now to get my cable. as i said it was right in front of me but i was blind to it. thank for very promt responses. Ken

just splice in speaker wire. works the same

just splice in speaker wire. works the same

Does not work the same actually. Antenna wire is shielded. A short length of unshielded wire may not cause much trouble, but it can introduce interference. Guess it depends on how far those radio towers are away from you.

thats why i used a shielded piece from a VW Bug and the placec i splices i wraped with a piece of the plastic and a bunch of electrical tape and have no interfeerance
