Skapunker
I have an '85 Turbo Wagon with the EA82T engine. I have the digital dash and the coolant temperature meter on it doesn't work so I want to add an aftermarket sensor. I need to know what type of fitting I need to do this and possibly where I could find one. Any help with this would be great, thanks.
calebz
I used a 'T' in a heater hose.. Cost about $7 at Home depot for the parts. Worked out quite well. Much easier than trying to find the right adapter for the Tstat housing,
Skapunker
I have thought about that, but I'd really rather get a more accurate, direct reading. Does anyone know the size for the correct adapter? There should be some catalog that offers gauge kits with the correct adapter for Subarus, I just don't know where to look. GeneralDisorder
More accurate? The heater core gets coolant right from the block directly off the intake manifold - it's going to be the same as the thermostat housing where the stock sender is. Besides that, coolant temp isn't going to change much no matter where you test it. GD
