Well... First of All:

thhi.gif Welcome!

I think this is the Correct Firin´ Order on a EA82 Engine, that is the One in your 1.8 L Carbureted 1987 Subie:

SubaruFlat4PistonsCourse.gif

Where 1 & 3 are Left side (Driver´s) and 2 & 4 are Right Side (Passenger´s)

To Keep Runnin´ 0s140ck.gif Your Subie, Check that and the Good Condition of the Carb... but if it was good before changin´ the Spark Plugs, maybe you aren´t usin´ the Correct Ones.

Remember: Spark Plugs for Subies, Shall have the letter "R" in them, that means that the Spark Plug got Resistor.

I Use NGK BPR6... ( And others Sometimes ) but those are Cheap and Very Very Good. :)

Well... Good Luck! thhappy0159.gif

Well, I´m soo happy

thwootdance.gif cos your Subie is Runnin´ Again.

About the Gap, the Basics are:

BasicSubaruExpecs-1.jpg

Using a More Powerfull Coil... (The Stock gives around 27,000 Volts Out, I Use an Accel SuperStock, that Gives 45,000 Volts Out) ...you can open wide a li´l bit more the Gap Settings, along of Using a more Advanced Timin´ without problems, that makes your subie a li´l more Faster and the engine will not emit noises with regular Gas. I use my EA82 at 25º timing and only with Regular Gas...

Good Luck! :burnout:
