Eric Barr
I just bought a new Outback Sport.. After about a week of driving suddenly brake pedal goes to the floor and car not stopping!! Thought it was a fluke but has been happening every week or so. Really scared me today. Other times brakes are fine. Going to the dealer for help. Any ideas out there in case they are stumped??? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance It can be a bad master cylinder or a bad booster, but it sounds like a master cylinder. On a new car thats rare, but build enough of anything and the long shot failures will pop up once in a while. Has this happened more then once? nipper

nipper
Yes --abnout 4 or 5 times. under what conditions? and yes is the fluid resivoir full. i dont think its the abs, as that doesnt hold a lot of fluid. ABS is a passthrough system. Either way i would have it towed to the dealer. How does the brake pedal return? nipper

Having it towed today. They seem a bit unconvinced.
