:banghead: ran really crappy, tach jumpy, would not stay running below 2,000rpm driven home this way 10 miles, used to die after it warm up, changed coil and control module, will not start, not fuel related ea81 83 gl 4wd 4spd magnet had been broken long before this happened, only 18 mpg :confused:

Five bucks says its a dead disty.. the jumpy tach gives it away.. In my 87, When my disty went, it wouldn't restart when warm..

yeah, prolly bad disty.. do you have the hitachi, or the nipondenso?

 

the disty outa the 83' engine i put in my hatch had a hitachi, and i swapped it with the nippon, since i already had new cap rotor, etc..

 

so if ya got a hitachi and need one, i got one sittin here..
