this was on for P304. Replaced plugs & wires (OEM) months ago. CEL came on again... Schucks tested found P304 again. cleared light. week goes by, yup, P304.... I reset the light (disconnect the battery, push the button). another week... CEL on but before I can get to it (4 days) light goes away.

Today it came on again. ran 4 oz. of SeaFoam through brake booster hose. cleared light. & now

I'm waiting.

Any other ideas what would trip the CEL like this?

Inconsistantly.

Is 304 a cylinder misfire code?

I have a customer that had a bunch of misfire codes, and I'm pretty sure that most of it was caused by water in the fuel (it always happened in the winter, and usually after it had rained). Try a couple bottles of Heet in the gas and see what happens.

Yeah, 4th cylinder misfire.

I tried to remember if it was raining when this happened. It was today. Maybe half occured during some sort of moisture event.

I will try the HEET tomorrow.

THANKS.

Make sure your spark plugs are still tight. Pour the seafoam through the pvc instead of brake booster. Maybe you have a bad plug/wire. I know they are new, but **** happens.

rule out the coil tower next. Spray the coil tower with water in the evening and see if you see any sparks.

Another possability is a leaking injector.
