Here is some info on local trails in WA state from 426rider

"Notes are from the Region 2 meeting tonight.

Evans Creek- This area is open for the winter. The winter closure was retracted due to the work of the PNW4WDA. There is a closed door focus group meeting on oct 24th and a whiter river forest district user meeting(open to public) on Dec 12th at the DNR meeting hall in enumclaw.

Elbe Hills- There is a work party this weekend to finish bridges on the sunshine trail. The new reservation process for the campground is working well for the user and for DNR. Oct 26th there is a user meeting at the fire station on 304th in grahm.

Tahuya- There are workparties planned for the next 3 weekends, doing some maint before winter comes. For more info contact Jeff Williams from the Quadrapaws.

Jefferson County OHV area- There has been a survey handed and emailed out so that the county can get an idea on wich site to push toward and what kind and amount of use a new OHV park might see. I will try and get that linked here. There will also be a Jeff. Co. "field trip" to Tahuya on Nov. 7th for county officials to see what could be expected from a new OHV park in their area.

WOHVA- Washington Off Highway Vehicle Alliance-The website is now up at www.wohva.org but is still under construction. There will be a WOHVA expo at straddleline ORV park on July 28th 07. They are also accepting memberships- Single, Club, or Business.

There is a Washington state trails conference on november 3&4 at the Clarion Hotel in Yakima, WA. You must register to attend.

Now everyone go get involved somewhere."

Thanks, Greg

glad to see someone so involved. When I am done working this weekend, if i can sort through my problems with the state I will try and do what i can to support the cause.

Watch out for the PoPo. They are citing rigs for not being street legal on the way to Evans. It was stated by one of the PoPo that they got a grant for this year and the next "to clean up the area".

It's nice to that they are spending our tax money to cite 4xers instead of catching real criminals.

Survey for what? I would guess if it is state then the DNR in Olympia can help or the county can help also.
