fat tire Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I just checked my timing and it was way off, adanced almost all the way. So I backed it off to 20 what the sticker on the hood says and now it has no power. It seemed to run fine before but was getting terrible milage (15-16mpg). Now with it set at 20 I can barely reach highway speeds. What does this mean? I suspect it is due for timing belts could that have something to do with it? Also in an effort to improve the milage I change the O2 sensor, cleaned the MAF, and put in a new air filter as suggested. No improvement. Mines a 87 and there under the dash near the fuses. I noticed there was an led under there that would blink three times with the green connectors connected.
