(bulb replaced today and problem is still there.) in stock configuration the headlights are not switched through relay's (and if they were, the light would go out, not dim) most likely a ground issue, check all the major grounds and the mounting points of the headlamp casing (it grounds through the shell) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(bulb replaced today and problem is still there.) Yeah - there's one relay for each side under the dash. Look up behind the fuse box. I've seen that before and it's usually the relays. WoodsWagon Posted November 24, 2006 Share Posted November 24, 2006 When I did my EJ22 swap. I disturbed a lot of the wiring under the dash. My passenger side light was dim, but did both high and low. It was the relay under the dash, it had slipped out of it's socket. I didn't find out till it fell out on my feet. Check the relays, I almost gaurentee that's what it is. Subaru_Mechanic Posted November 25, 2006 Author Share Posted November 25, 2006 fixed. the car is owned by my girlfriends brother. he hit a metal steak and i guess cut or tuged on the harness enough to rip the wire's. his dad riged it.
