1989 Subaru GL.Thought I might get more hits here. Is there anywhere new to get a alternator plug(2 prong that goes in the alt.) and I also need a 4 speed blower motor fan switch. The switch works on all speeds,but you need to put upwards pressure on the knob to get it to work. I would take new or used on both these..any ideas? Junkyards are scarce on older subarus near me.

The plug is the same as a female 2 prong plug on any of 3 dozen connectors all over the place in your wireing. Or just use some female spade connectors availible at the parts store.

 

As for the switch, the dealer is your friend there. Or you can probably take the switch apart and clean up the contacts to make it work. Or get a couple toggle switches and get creative.

IIRC, the alt plug is common to many alternators and available at your local parts store for a buck or two. Used for years on GM ext VR, so pretty common.
