November 27, 200619 yr Hey guys... theres a red GL in my backyard right now and im tinkering with it... trying to fix the odd ball issues like lights burnt ect... but the centerconsole clock is bugging me.... is the entire unit fried or could there be something else thats a concern?? Ive checked all fuses, fusible links (as if it would apply:rolleyes:) I dont know if I need to take the entire dash apart!!! any suggestions??? also the buttons for the Climate controls are stuck... any fixes for this one??? If I find anything else of concearn ill post it in here... even if you think ive already tried it I may have not... post whatever you think it could be.... every little bit helps! Thanks guys:clap:
November 27, 200619 yr Usually the clocks just need the solder joints on the back remelted with an iron and they are fine. They crack with age is seems. Remove the glove box to get at te plug, and just pry the clock out of the dash. As for the climate controls - you'll have to remove the cluster surround to get the control unit out - and I would probably just replace that thing. I've never seen one with stuck buttons, but it's probably all cracked and messed up if that's the case. Easier to get another one. GD

November 28, 200619 yr can you fix the light in my GL-10 Trip comp??? Russ told me it went out fairly recently! Read pg3 of the aforementioned thread. GL-10s use replaceable bulbs for illumination.
