November 28, 200619 yr got a neighbor with a 86 wagon which I can get for about $300...prob is it needs both fenders (ok...I could drive it as is but I ain't gonna) and a bumper. What years are "bolt-on" replacements or what front clips (complete) will bolt on the front end? anyone ever done a "face-lift" on an older Ru?> Bill

You can swap the fenders and bumper/valence, but if anything under the panels is bent you will have to straighten it or weld a new front end on (possible, but too expensive normally). The only direct replacements (same color, same trim) would be 85 and 86. 87 to 89 will fit but the trim will not match, and 90 to 94 Loyale's will fit but the trim will not match either. $300 for a crumpled mess is too much. Let him sit on it. GD
November 28, 200619 yr As GD stated: '85 and '86 are true "bolt on" for your application. Aftermarket sheetmetal for your year will be bolt on as well. Later years, the headlight buckets are different. The bumper and cover too. The hood, later models had windshield washer nozzles in them. The fender trim for yours is glue on and smaller than the later models that have holes in the fenders to mount the side trim. The marker/parking lights are different, but fit the same... Pay your money and take your choice. It will all fit the car, just depends on what you want and what combination of parts you use. The grille and mounting are different too..
November 28, 200619 yr I'm using 86 3-door fenders on my 1992 wagon, so the years are fairly compatable. Yes, trim doesn't match, but I never cared much. The older bumpers aren't impact absorbing, but the car's look way better with them on. Takes away the fat lip look that later ones have.
