Need to replace my rear brake cylinder and a new one here in sweden costs 785 Swedish crowns = 78 dollars and thats way too much. Is there any other car which have a brake cylinder that could fit with a little work on it?.

vehicle, year...are you talking drum or disc brakes? drum i presume??

Oh sorry subaru brat -88 and yes its drumbrakes rear think its the big drums as well. bouhgt new brake shoes and they were the ones with the biggest price tag.

i am a drum brake moron, i'll have to defer to others on this one. my advice is swap to rear disc brakes.

2WD or 4WD? ... I think the EA81`s (Subaru Leone) will fit, but better Idea is to Take the Part with You and search (Maybe in Junk Yards or in a Car Parts Store) with it; due to the Fact that Measurements of Parts usually Vary from a Country to Others...

Ill take the cylinder with me to my work going to drill out the nipple and then put new threads in and a bigger nipple, the brake line threads are just fine but thanks for the answers.
