January 2, 200719 yr this morning i went to the santa paula PAP looking for the linkage for the d/r linkages (which i did find). i forgot how much of a pain it is to get at the nut with out the lift or dropping the tranny. in the wagon that i got it from, i came accross these but what made me laugh a bit was this. i wonder if anyone said "hey do you think i can have those peugeot 505 rims on my subie?"
January 2, 200719 yr I found a single port fuel injected ea81, with a turbo. ea81 not ea81t wtf. Me and sooboutlaw where excited like little kids. It was crazy. Its the first soob you see when you go to the Lynnwood pull a part

Its the first soob you see when you go to the Lynnwood pull a part Dude, that is just a regular EA81T car. Multiport injection and such. I know because I have the turbo, injectors, windshield, axle, digidash and grill hardware off that car. What makes you think it was SPFI?!?
January 3, 200719 yr Good find! I always like looking in the glove boxes of Subarus in the junkyard to see what I come across. I thought the s/r and the d/r EA81 shifter linkage were the same BTW.
January 3, 200719 yr i could have swore that ea81 turbos have ea81t cast on the block????? No?? no, they say EA81. The difference in the turbo EA81s from what I can remember is the heads have the injector bosses in them instead of the intake and the pistons are different, like the EA82Ts. The block I believe is still an EA81 block.
January 3, 200719 yr EA81 Block is exactly like the EA81T block. Difference is like Caboob stated, the heads have injector bosses. Plus there's a bracket at the front of the motor above the crank pulley used for timing, and there's no timing indicators on the bellhousing like there is with regular EA81s.
January 3, 200719 yr I always look for the OEM screwdrivers. Those double sided screwdrivers fit a remarkable range of phillips head screws... One time I found a NIB aftermarket disty cap, rotor, and spark plug wires.. all in boxes, in a bag, in the trunk. paid $3 for all, Score!
