March 2, 200719 yr Author CMiller just showed me a short DVD he made for the Monster Subaru's maiden voyage, it was pretty sweet. I'm looking forward to Albie getting rid of the small bugs (aka weak parts) in the car and beefing it up! It should be extra entertaining next time.

March 2, 200719 yr How? Dana 60s? Well if he was going to do a solid axle swap, i think dana 44's would hold 33" tires just fine..
March 3, 200719 yr On that light of a car, D35s or AMC 20 axles would probably handle 33's. If you were in the mood for straight axles, that is.
March 3, 200719 yr Install ISF from a big 4x4 front and rear in the subie and she should hold up pretty good. Plus if you want, install 4WS

March 4, 200719 yr They can handle 36s on a 4.3- powered Samauri, they should be able to handle a little more power with a smaller tire. Although, the problems with those axles aren't so much from hp snapping axleshafts, it's from big tires and hard landings snapping axleshafts. But yeah, independant would be cooler. I have a nice design based around a Ford 9" center section, might be a little wide for this though, it's designed for a fullsize.
