Ed (or another): Who rebuilds distributors?

Featured Replies

Ed mentioned a distributor rebuild shop Portland-ways. I am thinking of sending mine out for a rebuild.

Anyone know of a reputable shop to rebuild my EA-82 dist. from an '87 GL Wagon 4WD?

Many thanks!

Jw

John, the name of the shop in Portland begins with a P; I have it saved among my favorites on my other computer (which is still "bellyup" at my old house). I'm sure one of the Portland guys will come up with it. I might have a usable used distributor in my collection of spare parts at the old house. It'll be up for sale soon when I get around to sorting out my old garage.

Come on, you Portland guys. Help jdub out. What's the name of that company in Portland that rebuilds distributors?

I beleive it was I who introduced the board to them a while back. They did a great job for me. Rebuild is $35 if you dissasemble it for them. They do vac advance units too - another $25 or something I think.

They also do recurves - was thinking about having that done for lower end torque.

Thanks Rick, I knew it was one of you "southern" guys. Sorry, we couldn't touch base this week when I was in Portland.

I will be at the Xmas tree run - so will your laptop. Worry not my friend. I intended to call you, but got hung up in Lincoln City for most of the day working on a server down there. Got back late, and figured you were gone by then (10 PM or so).
