1985 Subaru DL Wagon Crank pulley torque setting

Featured Replies

Does anybody have a repair manual with this torque setting listed?

'85 DL 1.8L 5sp. Crank pulley bolt. in the rain!! Yippie...

thanks

i belive its around 80-90 ft lbs, but I just took a 4 foot pipe on a 1/2 in ratchet and tightend it up real good, worked out well, its still tight and on there

EA 82 crankshaft pulley torque is listed in FSM as 66-79 ft-lbs. this is the OHC engine, right?

I always do them at 75, which I know is within the specs given by all the manuals.

As tight as you can get it -- because it really sucks when it comes off when you are driving... :dead: It's a steel bolt in a steel crankshaft, so it'd be pretty hard to strip out.
