Pitch Stopper Q?

Featured Replies

How tight should the pitch stopper be? (EA81)

I found the engine end (of the pitch stopper) has a little play (probably from corroded rubber gromets?). 1/8 to 1/16th play.

I tried to tighten the engine end but it wouldn't tighten?

Is there a metal sleeve in the center of the rubber gromet on the engine end?

Anyone know how this should be when adjusted properly?

Thanks, Glenn

Yeah - there is a metal sleeve in there - could be that your rubber is toast. Also could be that the nuts are just stuck. There is some play to the thing cause the body side is rubber mounted, so sometimes they are a bit hard to get started turning.
