it's on my 88 turbo a/t full time 4wd wagon, no oil in coolant, no coolant in oil, compression good, nothing leaking, as been sittting for awhile, very cold outside, exhaust was fixed right, drives good, seems like alot of smoke coming out of exhaust, while it's idling, if driven not as much ?has never done this before

You just listed every reason why it should do it. Don't worry about it unless you start loosing coolant. Also smoke for burning coolant is heavy, off white, and tends to hang around, where as smoke from condensation is more white and whispy.

it seemed to get better as i drove it, that is what i was thinking , thanks

keep an eye on your transmission fluid level. *I think* white smoke can mean a ruptured diaphram on the vacuum modulator. It's on the passenger side of the tranny, round, and screws into the tranny. If you pull the vacuum line off and it's moist, there's ATF in there, and it needs to be replaced.
