March 15, 200719 yr Ok boys and girls..... I know this has been talked about before http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66019&highlight=torque+bind+solved%21 but I just wanted to say I tried it, and was pleased with my results. I did the multi "drain and fill" yesterday, (due to torque bind) and used NAPA dexron III. Shifting smoothed out......torque bind got WORSE:eek: So, I remember the advice in this thread, and went back and bought this stuff http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/500/medium/lube_guard.jpg dumped 'er in...... and torque bind is GONE Be it a short term or long term remedy..... all I know is I DONT have to buy a tranny this week

March 15, 200719 yr Others reported success with this procedure (which is given in a factory TSB) in the past. I hope the fix is still working for them.
